It is amazing how these stories can enrich our lives and give us a sense of being a part of a larger entity. I used to have to go pay our phone bill as a kid at the Bell building when Diane probably was working there. It was facinating to know that toperators like her had to answer so many non phone related questions.
My mother left the workforce, like Diane to raise us children and then went back to work
About two decades later my mother moved to the house beside Diane and Ron.
Ten years ago, I had the good fortune when they became my neighbours too. They are amazing, especially with the Great Danes. Ronnie even gets up extremely early to take the dogs for a walk outside of the city.
It takes every ounce of self control for the little boy in me to not talk to the dogs when they are outside. If I do, they bark. And Diane and Ronnie are so respectful that they don’t want the barking to disturb the neighbourhood.
